Katy has been with Tricklock since 2004. In 2015 she returned from a 6-year hiatus wherein she galavanted the world; lived in Maine and worked at a cafe, decided to go to clown school in France for two years (l’Ecole Philippe Gaulier), where she made connections that brought her to Australia. There she did a 4 year stint producing a 6-day, 30 performer, hundreds-of-players-large interactive theatrical adventure called The Game, held during the Woodford Folk Festival near Brisbane. She also co-founded a touring comedy theatre company called Idiot Presents. Between Tricklock & IP, she has performed in Poland, Germany, Ukraine, and Colombia, at One Yellow Rabbit’s High Performance Rodeo in Calgary, as well as the Toronto, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Montreal and Edmonton Fringes in Canada, the Prague Fringe in the Czech Republic, the Adelaide & Perth Fringes as well as a guerrilla performance at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia, and most happily, she took the stage as a performer for once (normally she is on the production team) in the Revolutions International Theatre Festival of 2012, where her weird show was received with such a beautiful openness and lots of laughter. One of her best memories ever.
